Raise minimum @tanstack/react-start and @tanstack/react-router peer dependencies
Minimum supported versions for @tanstack/react-start and @tanstack/react-router have been raised to enable reliable CSRF middleware import during Vite SSR. The change requires registering createCsrfMiddleware() before clerkMiddleware() when using src/start.ts.
Minor Changes
-
Raise the minimum supported peer dependencies to
@tanstack/react-start@^1.168.10and@tanstack/react-router@^1.170.7. Start 1.168.10 is the first version where importingcreateCsrfMiddleware()works reliably during Vite SSR. (#10102) by @SarahSoutoulTanStack Start skips its default CSRF protection for server functions when your app has a
src/start.ts, whichclerkMiddleware()requires. RegistercreateCsrfMiddleware()beforeclerkMiddleware()to restore it:import { clerkMiddleware } from '@clerk/tanstack-react-start/server'; import { createCsrfMiddleware, createStart } from '@tanstack/react-start'; const csrfMiddleware = createCsrfMiddleware({ filter: ctx => ctx.handlerType === 'serverFn', }); export const startInstance = createStart(() => { return { requestMiddleware: [csrfMiddleware, clerkMiddleware()], }; });

@clerk/expo-native-components package introduced
A new @clerk/expo-native-components package is now required for native components (AuthView, UserButton, UserProfileView). Install it before deploying over-the-air updates as errors occur at runtime; import native components from @clerk/expo/native-components and deprecate the old @clerk/expo/native import path.
