New attribute or segment trigger for faster automation setup

Customer.io introduced a new attribute or segment trigger for automations that offers faster setup compared to the legacy trigger. While existing automations continue to work, new automations use the new trigger with updated behavior including integrated filter conditions and optional time-based conditions.

All automations that use our legacy segment trigger will continue to work as expected and you’ll be able to duplicate them. For new automations, you’ll use the new trigger. Note, the new trigger behaves differently than the legacy segment trigger in a few ways: filter conditions are now part of the trigger conditions, and you may need to add time-based conditions to ensure the right group of people trigger your automations at the correct time.
