Linear now supports passwordless login and signup using email magic links, removing the previous GSuite-only requirement and expanding external collaborator invitations beyond @gmail.com accounts. The release also includes improvements to GitHub integration for draft pull requests, issue linking, and numerous stability and UX enhancements across the desktop and web apps.
Login with email magic links
Until now you could sign up for Linear using a GSuite account and invited users were able to log in using their Google account.
Today we are announcing email login with magic links, which enable you to sign up and log in using any email address. We also removed the limitation where you could only invite external collaborators if they had a @gmail.com account.
Logging in using email magic links is simple. Type in your email and we'll send you a link. When you click the link, you'll be taken to Linear and immediately logged in.
GitHub linkbacks and PR draft automation
We've made a couple of improvements to our GitHub integration. We now correctly handle draft pull requests and there is a new workflow setting to configure drafts.
We've also made improvements to issue links that get posted to pull requests on GitHub. When you update the pull request and link new issues, the links are posted correctly.

Linear Agent now offers adaptive routing to optimize model selection by task complexity, environment secrets support for secure dependency access, and open-weight model options including GLM. Teams can define custom project labels and statuses, assign project leads, use durable IDs for projects and initiatives, and automate workflows with new team-based triggers for onboarding and reassignment.
Loops, Linear's recurring agent workflows, now respond to more workspace activity including project, initiative, and cycle changes, can edit Linear documents and post updates to Slack. This helps teams automate coordination tasks like updating docs and keeping stakeholders informed when plans change.

Additionally, document editing is now available on iOS and Android, rich previews render in diffs, draft projects with Linear Agent for planning, and admins can approve third-party app access on paid plans.
