Changes to Vercel Image Optimization Pricing
Vercel resumed charging for Image Optimization overages at $5 per 1,000 images for Pro and Enterprise teams. Charges only apply after included monthly limits are exceeded, and users can monitor usage in the dashboard or disable optimization per project.
Today, we resumed charging for Image Optimization overages at a lower rate of $5 per 1,000 images for Pro and Enterprise teams. Optimizing images improves the end-user experience of your site and decreases bandwidth.
Teams only incur overages after the included limits have been reached. For example, Pro plans include 5,000 source images per billing period. Source image usage reset to zero at 9am Pacific Time on January 18th, 2023.
You can view your current source image count in your usage dashboard. Further, you can always disable optimization for a given project.
