Higher defaults and limits for Vercel Functions running Fluid compute
Vercel Functions using Fluid compute now have increased default limits across all plans: execution time increased to 300 seconds for all plans, with extended maximum of 1800 seconds available for Pro and Enterprise on supported runtimes. Memory and CPU instance sizes have also been updated to provide more resources while maintaining cost efficiency through Active CPU pricing.
The default limits for Vercel Functions using have increased, with longer execution times, more memory, and more CPU.Fluid compute
The default execution time, for all projects on all plans, is now 300 seconds (5 minutes):
Pro and Enterprise teams using supported Node.js and Python runtimes can now opt into an extended maximum of 1800s (30 minutes, beta). See the .June 15, 2026 update
Memory and CPU instance sizes have also been updated:
These increased instances are enabled by , which charges based on actual compute time. Periods of memory-only usage are billed at a significantly lower rate, making longer executions more cost-efficient.Active CPU pricing
You can view logs to determine if your functions are hitting execution limits and adjust the max duration or upgrade your plan as needed.

OpenAI Decisions API now available on AI Gateway
OpenAI's Decisions API is now accessible through Vercel's AI Gateway with an OpenAI-compatible endpoint, enabling decision models to answer typed questions and return probabilities, choices, and scores for routing, triage, and guardrails use cases. Support is available across the OpenAI SDK, AI SDK, HTTP API, and CLI with the latest versions.
Timestamp attributes now supported in Vercel Flags
Vercel Flags now supports timestamp attributes for entities, allowing you to create time-based targeting rules. Use this feature to run limited-time campaigns, show content between specific dates, or target users based on registration date.
Glyph Cluster now available in stealth on AI Gateway
Glyph Cluster, a reasoning model for coding and long-context analysis, is now available as a stealth model on Vercel's AI Gateway for Pro and Enterprise plan teams with purchased AI Gateway credits at no cost during the stealth period. The model supports function calling, streams responses, and can be accessed via AI SDK, OpenAI-compatible APIs, and coding agents.
