Legacy build image and Node.js 18 being deprecated
Vercel is deprecating the legacy build image and Node.js 18 LTS on September 1, 2025. Existing deployments will continue to work, but new builds will error if using the legacy image. Users must upgrade to Node.js 20.x or later, Python 3.12, or Ruby 3.3.x.
Node.js 18 (LTS support ends April 30, 2025) and the Vercel legacy build image will be deprecated on September 1, 2025. If you are still using the legacy build image on this date, new builds will display an error.
