Vercel Functions on Node.js and Python runtimes now support graceful shutdown with up to 500ms for cleanup tasks before termination. Functions can catch SIGTERM signals to close database connections and flush logs during scale-down or termination events.

When a function is terminated, such as during scale-down, the runtime receives a signal. You can now use this signal to run cleanup tasks like closing database connections or flushing external logs.SIGTERM
